I got one for ya\'s!  :)

I am planning on bringing my RX-8 auto across from Australia next year.  Do you think any insurance companies would touch it?

I can\'t see why not ... the only trouble I can forsee is that your car is an auto (isn\'t it?) and therefor they won\'t have that model down on there books.
