RX8 Warranty

Hi All, have a friend who is intersted in the 8. If he were to buy an import is the warranty still valid over here, or is that a very very very stupid question!!!!

I remember reading something somewhere, that Mazda dealers in UK will not touch imported RX-8s thus I would very much doubt if warranty would be available.

Mazda made it very very clear to me two years ago that they would never recognise an imported RX-8 due to the fact that these would not be \'European Spec\' cars.
