Had a top crack with my 100 quid fc cab yesterday!
after geting the profec b piped up the corect way I made quite a few runs at .7 bar ish with hks filter and fcd.
its the first time ive launched an fc and to be honest I was well impressed how well they can launch of the line even on street tyres!
the car out launched 2 tuned scoobys and a skyline up to 60 ft!!!!!
only problem is every time I hit 3rd gear ecu went into limp mode which was so annoying after outlaunching everything I was up against so I didnt get a full 1/4 time, I had to turn ignition of and on again to cross the line !!!!
I was hitting 9000 rpm in first and second with a 2.1sec 60 ft  on stock turbo and intercooler and stock tyres which aint bad for so little mods.
best 100 quid ive ever spent in my life:yes

I might be up for a run or two next time. post details next time there is a RWYB going on. Not bad launch time by the way.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

"I was hitting 9000 rpm in first and second with a 2.1sec 60 ft "  Now thats a lot of revs for any rotary, be careful you dont cook it mate even with your setup.  Nice to see a cab on the line-up, hopefully getting my other Cab sorted for next years strip events.

Then reading your thread again........who cares for £100 !!!!  well done anyway for even getting it lined up.

it was so easy to rev to 9 grand with no rev limiter! should there be one??
maybe thats why it kept going into limp every time I hit 3rd gear.

standard ecu stu, but i did notice the speedo had stopped working, I need to check ecu for error codes.
Im starting to think it may be a good idea to use the cab as the drag car because it must be so much lighter with no roof no backwindow and a tiny boot, imagine how much lighter it would be with no seats dash and motor and frame out for hood and theres so much you could do away with under bonnet ie them big motors for pop up lights ect ect.
I had an idea it would be quick of the line with the big weight advantage.
I would need to weld a good roll cage in it mind you, dont fancy having a roll in it at over 100 with no roll bar!!!!!!!!!!
what do u guys think?? is there any cabs running as drag cars anywhere abroad?? makes sense don you think.
grinder get your cab up to york for the next meeting mate:yes
does anyone know the weight diference from fc and fc cab?
