Hard top, Turbo. 1990 import. 90k but told its a rebuilt engine.

there are loads of threads on this and i\'m sure grinder will throw up a few before i post this.  Most important is the rust underneath if there is any.  All along the inside of sill where they meet the floor and lower rear arches for a start.
Sunroofs can leak if the rust sets in.
Wheel bearing can go especially the rears
The engine is still fairly low mileage but if there is proof of rebuild or a compression check then it\'ll be ok if the price is right.
look for turbo smoke or noises
make sure exhaust is good otherwise fairly expensive to replace but you can get a complete twin exit box system made for about £400 inc of decat pipe.
1990 TII Cab JDM- Lambo Orange- HKS GT3037 turbo,Apexi PFC and datalogit,Greddy FMIC,Trust coilovers,18" Antera 10J 265 rears, 18" 8.5J 235 fronts

check for rust , rust , rust , rust

if its an import then it SHOULD be fine as they usually are

check for all the normal stuff you would have on a car

1 - brake dont pull to one side
2 - the abs works ( very very expensive to replace )
3 - no rust
4 - no damp on the inside
5 - check all electrics work
6 - buy with your head not your heart

if you look at my website - there is a section about rust - this will tell you where to check ( shameless plug for my newly tweaked website )

It\'s Peter Barber\'s car, is it not? It is a well specced car, but unfortunately not worth 6300. Ask for proof of build, as we were  unsure of whether it had when Pete bought it.

Thanks for the info mate.

Was that you at nurburgring in June?

Hi guys, friend of mine\'s seriously considering coming to the rotary dark side :bandit
Not too familiar with FC myself, was thinking if you guys can give me some advices please :Thumbs-up
This is the car he\'s looking at.

I\'ve seen this company name pop up on the site from time to time and seem a trustworthy company from what\'s been said.
The car looks good for the age for sure, but he\'s a bit worried about that 150k?
How long do FC engines last usually? more than FDs I bet :)

Cheers

ramirez

I messaged the owner of that car the other day, it\'s only got 30k on the rebuilt engine so will probably do another 60k.

I would check to see if its on the original turbo though as that might be on its last legs.
