....I\'ve started the car today, as have done since owning it (2 weeks) and warmed it up for 10mins (ish) got in and drove off as usual but noticed that my BOV was not working when changing gear ... thought nothing of it at the time.... drove round the close and then get on to open road put my foot down to 4/5k and change into 3rd and no noise..... carried onto a main road and was able to put my foot down.... the boost gauge moves to 0 but then nothing..... as the revs build i can hear, what sounds like a sucking noise, but no power at all.... pulled over asap and checked all the pipes that come from the filters and what connectes to the BOV and all are tight.

Whilst stopped  andi had the lid up i just rev\'d it a little - i can hear the BOV kick a small amount of air out but that is it.

I turned around to come back home (3mins away) and whilst driving at 2.5k i can hear a whhhuurrrrp noise for under 1 sec (lasted as long as it was for you to read that word - lol)

the car is currently cooling down so i can check properly and get under neath.... anything i should be looking out for other than loose pipes? plus if i take the BOV off and just plug the pipe direct into filters will this be fine so i can determine if its a sticking BOV or not?

sounds like your BOV diaphram has gone. get a new bov or return to stock BOVs. its not healthy for your car and these noises sound very bad to me so you may be doing damage to the turbos if the pressure cannot vent.

i have a set of stock ones with pipes if needed.

Thanks for the offer - if it is that i will take you up on the offer...

I\'ve got really paranoid now and can\'t see anything wrong with it myself, but im not a mechanic! so have booked it in with a guy that i know ,that know\'s rx7\'s/toyota\'s really well (re-building my mates MK4 Supra engine) to have a quick loo for the obvious.

Fingers crossed... i\'ll post up once i know the cause..
