Its with a bit of a heavy heart that I write this but I\'m seriously thinking about moving the Rex on :(

I\'ll put the reasons below, but at the minute I\'m just looking for a bit of a ball park figure and to see if you folks think my valuation is right?

The spec
1994 FD Twin Turbo
51500 miles
Velocity Red
Stock when imported in 2004 and purchased by me :)
12 months MOT
6 months Tax

Mods
Sprint Lowering Performance Springs
GReddy PE Catback (lovely burble at idle and not intrusive when driving)
Stainless brake lines (not yet fitted)
S2000 bee-sting aerial
Custom SPA Gauges in Orange (You can\'t get these from SPA unless you know someone that works there, these were a 1 off for my FD :))
18" alloys although not in great condition (Standard 16"s will be included with the car)
Nice airhorn as the stock one was awful!

Recent maintenance
Oil and filter change
Coolant flush
Rats nest done
New coolant and radiator hoses
New braided fuel lines

The good
Engine rebuilt in Japan at 39000 miles - although I don\'t have proof of this the garage I purchased her from said they only buy-in rebuilt FDs and the condition of the car suggested that it had been looked after :)

Starts hot and cold every time
No smoke of any description from the exhaust or anywhere else
Doesn\'t use any coolant
Out of town, oil and water hover at around 70-78 degrees, stuck in town traffic they are closer to 80-89 degree.

Car hasn\'t been driven between November - March, ever, she\'s always lived in the garage and hasn\'t seen any road salt, the underside resembles this as it looks like new :)

Also registered as a 1.3 :D

The bad
Only 1 point here and its not a big one to sort, she has a boost leak and the first turbo spools up to 0.5 bar which isn\'t enough for the second on to kick in.  I\'ve checked the pipes and they look ok so it makes me think that its the UIM/TB - like a plonker I used liquid gasket on them so I\'m guessing its just not sealed properly.

Unfortunately I\'m up to my neck in renovating mine and my partners newly purchased house and that\'s eating at all my time and cash so I just don\'t think I\'m going to be able to find the time to trace the boost leak :(

There are a couple of small nicks in the seats :(

With that in mind, I\'m thinking £5500 - 5800 is around the right money for the car?  She can be taken for a test drive and driven away if somebody does fancy her, personally I think if someone is looking for a fantasic platform to build on then this car would be ideal :)

Pics are here:

On the 16"s:

Here\'s a shot with 1 of the 18"s on, I took the 16" off for a new valve :)

Thanks for looking :)

Sounds about right :mmmm

Car looks really good but I\'d be suspicious as to whether it really has had a rebuilt engine or not, a compression test may help to shift it.  If you have v good compression maybe worth asking for 6k+

Thanks Tim :)

No-one else has commented so I guess the price sounds about right.  I know what you mean about the rebuild but short of flooding her once I\'ve never had any issues starting her :)

I\'ve just got to actually bring myself to really part with her..... :(

the lemster

depends if mine can be fixed....

No probs Lemster, I have my fingers crossed for you that yours can be sorted out :)

If it can\'t though, let me know.  I\'m going to decide within the next week whether or not to let her go :) :(
