Both rear arches are slightly rusty. Just on the bit thart folds over at the arch.

The pic is of the worst one.

Any advice.. easy fix??

their is only one cure for rust grind or cut it out

Jim_rx7

It\'s not drastic, just want to catch it before it gets worse.

in that area u have to be carefull of splitting the lip but a grinder will take it out then filler..u could rub fill and spray but it will allways come back rust is a **** and needs to be got rid of completely..that is an awkward place to get it..

just sand it and then use some cure rust (or just go to the store and ask for some rust converter)

then get a touch up paint thing and give it a go with that. rust gone not coming back.

Jim_rx7

sand it and use some krust stuff.. I know what you\'re on about. Converts it to a paintable surface.

Then I\'ll get some primer and paint and spray it? Mask it up etc so no over spray. Sound like a plan?

Will that stop it??

Also.. how far will I go... just about half way into the lip. Obviously, I don\'t want to go onto the rear quarter area.

At the end of the day... even if the paint job\'s not 100%, it\'s not gonna be that noticable where it is.

The only thing I was thinking is maybe I should take the skirts off and see if it has gone down a bit?

u cant convert rust to metal its like a cancer never found seen any off those things cure rust ask any bodyshop

Jim_rx7

ok... a trip to the bodyshop then... "Fix it" ... "thank you" .... lol

RotorHeid

forget about spray or matching colour, Use hammerlit black smooth print and primer.
Nobody will notice it anyway!:Thumbsup! :D

Jim_rx7

So what you people say then.... DIY or bodyshop??
