Hell chaps

It looks like my turbo is knackered :Grrr

I have noticed recently that after a bit of lively driving once I let off the throttle I get a burning oil smell, I have had a look and there is no oil actually leaking from the turbo so guess its internal on the hot side

Really ****ed off as I have only had the car 3 months and the previous owner had told me he had the turbo rebuilt (as well as the engine).

Having looked through the receipts i got with the car all it says is trim turbo and a bill for £250 from reworx, and the bill for the engine rebuild.

Now having looked through a lot of previous threads it seems this could be the seals, or possibly I am in need of a oil restrictor as it is possible that too much oil is getting feed to the turbo.

The car drives normally and I very rarely drive it hard so my guess would be a crap rebuild of the turbo or I am just unlucky!

Oh by the way it is a single turbo conversion and the turbo is supposed to be a T04S there bis nothing on the turbo pointing to this just that Garrett made it and it has 0.72 A/R.

The car has just had a full service at super 7 and Jason reckoned all was ok engine wise.

One other thing that might have affected this is the car was running 0.75 boost which I raised to 0.85 as i thought that with the supporting mods I have (v-mount,pfc,boost controller etc) that the turbo and engine should be able to run at this level easily.

Any Jason is looking at the car next week so will get a full diagnosis.

Cheers
