Right, I\'ve just bought a set of apexi gauges:

Boost
Temp
Oil pressure

What shall I do with the temp gauge.... shall I put in in the oil or the water???
I\'m fitting a power FC tomorow, so that will give me the water temps (I think).... is oil an important thing to moniter with regards to temp, coz if I put the gauge in to the water, I will have three readings for that (stock & after market gauge & FC) & none for the oil!!!

Cheers

P.S. I\'ve got a sandwedge plate to fit it in to anyway so no prolems there!!!

grinder

if you can do the water temp via the Commander - then use it to measure oil

i have after market oil and water temp - and its surprising how long it takes the oil to warm up ( even after the water temp is showing normal )

Another reason for doing oil temp:

If your water system leaks, the engine temps will go right up - the temp gauge in the car will not help you as there is no water - so it will register low.  Having an oil temp sender will buy you some time in the event of this type of failure.
