Why is my car dead? (video included)

Ok... so after thinking the car was simply flooded, I finally got it going today.

Here\'s a vid of a few things. If anyone has ANY idea as to what the problem is, I would greatfully appreciate the info!

It sounds very much like its not firing on both rotors properly.

As a starting point I\'d be checking your plugs and ignition leads.

Well the plugs are new anyway.

So possibly the leads then?

What about the smoke from the bov near the end of the vid?

maybe unburnt fuel from the second rotor? if it\'s not firing on both like. That\'d make sense if it was plugs or leads too.

Well, the plugs are defo new and should be ok.

Anyone near got a set of leads I can borrow to test??

smoke is because car isnt firing properly (one rotor.. unburned fuel) or an oil leak or something simular.. get it running properly first...

I would recommend to buy new plugs again, I think you shagged the ones you bought by trying to start it earlier...

Maybe ignition coil needs to be changed too...

The smoke just looks like exhaust gasses/unburnt fuel to me.  You\'re car will sound awful after its been flooded until it starts firing properly.

Mine sounded like this:

After letting her idle for 30 minutes she did seem to sort herself out and now sounds more like this:

I did have a small hole in the exhaust in the first video which added to the noise.

I\'d check the leads, the plugs are new so you disturbing the leads could have knackered them

I doubt you\'ve shagged the plugs, but I\'d pull them again and use a blow torch to get all the fuel off them (obviously away from the car)

i may not have alot of experience with rex`s but have been a mechainc since i left school.

yeah i know u trying to get as much advise as possable but its like your not listining to any of us at all.

i understand your worried cars fuked but as we all said how to check it and i even said id help out nbut if your just going to not listen then no point me trying to help at all.

I just thought asking a few people wouldn\'t hurt. Some clever bod might nail the problem exactly on the head or may have had the same problem a few years back.
