K guys just a quick question..
My cars running a knighsport ecu at the mo, engine mods are hks filters, backbox, hks hardpipes.. and a boost controller.. now i hear that knighsport ecu cant be mapped here and are usually mapped for 102ish ron japanese fuel.. now my question is lol.. would i be safer running an apexi on the base map than the knightsport ecu? iv got one here and im going to pips the 30th june but dont really wanna risk det running the unknown knightsport map..

Iv added octaine booster to ma petrol to bump it up a bit but i only have access to bp 97ron petrol, v power would prob be ok with the knightsport as its 99 but i aint got one lol..

I would put the pfc on buddy. Definitley get it mapped for normal 95 ron fuel so you wont have to keep adding octane booster.

well iv removed the boost controller so shud run as factory settings.. kk so i`ll fit and it`ll be fine boosting hard on the base map? whats a base map set for on the apexi?

I think it depends on what year and model apexi it is. The later ones came with a base mod map which is richer. You can run a backbox, intake, intercooler with the base mod map. I used mine like this for 3 months before getting it mapped at wgt. Take a look at the pfc faq.

k my serials . fd3s4 which that docs says it the new base map which cn run downpipes, decats ect without a map, will this no be 2 rich a map for what i have?

if just filter and back box yes, I would advise getting a decat with the apexi

so wait until the decats fitted then fit the apexi.. what about boost creep with the decat fitted? do you not have to port your wastegate?

soz for the questions, the apexi new to me lol.. i know you need remaped to get the best out of it, just dont trust the knightsport thats init the noo.. and dont relly wanna wait til the 30th before i feel safe booting it :evillaugh

on stock twins pfc manages boost nicely

boost controller will also assist in stopping any creep

I had full exhaust, fmic, intake, WI all on pfc on stock twins @ 1 Bar before turbos popped

might as well fit a downpipe too then since the map cn take it.. o the joys lol..
