iv imported mine bud and a few others lol.. 07950670545 if you wanna have a wee chat about it, not hard to do but is quite scary the first time, plus there is alot of scams coming around there at the moment, heard a few banks warning before your wanting to transfer any cash over there.. iv dealt with the same guy for over 2 years and have a great understanding with him.. plus everything he`s stated on the auction sheets is 100% right..99% of the time any marks arnt as bad as he says lol.. always a good thing :)

cheers

just go to liverpool auctions u can pic um up chhep as chips and u get to see the car without sending money to a country where they dont even use letters when writing their chrismaslist

As long has you have a decent agent who can get you the car you want from Japan to the UK, then its not a lot of hassle.
Turned into the worst part of my life....my precious fd3 has gone, but never forgotten....roll on a new life!!!!

I\'m just in the process of importing mine now. The boat leaves on saturday! :)

mkeeber @ hotmail.com - my first time at importing a car, so it\'s all pretty scary but it seems quite straight forward. I think the most problem i\'m gonna have is with MOT\'s

Where do yous find these agents? Something I\'d like to look into...

As long as u have a reliable agent then is all easy and good to go.....i had imported few myself and never had a problems....basciallg getting all the documents from japan and then send to DVLA....other things like mot and tax and insurance thats all......but most important is that the actual car you buying as you cant view or test drive the car ....
Panspeed tuned FC3S.......

All the above is right bud, if the japanese docs arnt right or bits missing, then your stuffed here because you can no longer get them replaced or modified if something isnt right.. insurance, you need to find a company who insures on the chassis number only, as you wont have a reg number.. you`ll need to wire a fog light, mot are usually ok tho lol.. registration takes around a week if everythings in order.
If you use a company then you`ll pay alot more but get exactly what your looking for, do it yourself, any car auction in japan will ask for around 500 bucks deposit before you cn even bid on a car..

Iv got a agent in japan like i say, took a hell of a lot of time to find tho lol but id never buy from any else..

Also. Watch out for the bedroom agents!

ps Dereg docs are replaceable in most cases within a specified time.

Nope, its dependant on the land transportation dept in whichever district in Japan. I had one replaced for my friend 1 month ago.
