Out of Intrest how much would a Full Kit weigh?

A mate has recently bought back a car he sold 12 months ago, in the 12 months its had a full c-west kit fitted, some Speakers and an Amp etc. Now we did\'nt weigh the car when he had it but the guy works for a Haulage company and just Messing about weighed it yesterday, i have to say i was shocked when he said it had put on more or less 100Kg\'s from its factory weight with about £5 of fuel in it and no one sat in it.

So i am guessing i\'m going to Spank it with the same powered R2

I have to admit its spoilt the car, GRP does not take Stone chips well and White GRP with Black paint is not too clever.

100kg  just form a kit? can\'t see that myself. Skirts arn\'t heavy at all? A big bag of dog food is 20kg (that for 2 German shepards) there\'s no way even a front bumper weights as much as that!

Materials obviusly play a big part light weight FRP weave is a heavier that carbon Fake copies of kits used nasty cheap fiberglass are heavy but the genuines tend to be tinner and better quailty.

HOWEVER with the speakers with the Amp sub and MDF box (depending on the size of speakers) these could easily weight a lot.

From what hes just told me its got 18" rims on now, 2subs and a Biggish Amp, and a Copy C-west kit with a Halford Spoiler.

Yep its 92kg\'s over Stock weight for an R1.

Well it shows how the weight add\'s up anyway when you start putting cheap wheels etc on cars.

Wont be the body adding a lot, one of my fiber glass bonnets weighs in at 6kg miltiply that and I recon average body kit 15kg

it`ll all be in the wheels i reckon, a full kit really is just the skirts extra, the rest is just a small amount on the originals.. we weighed ma m8s wheels and ma 17" advans.. his being  `r 9kg heavyer per wheel.. o n his we`r 16`s lol
