I have been considering upgrading the lights on the FD. I don\'t want a sleek light conversion so was wondering poeples opinions on if a HID conversion would be worth the extra cash compared to simply changing the bulbs for the "brighter" bulbs that Philips and Halfords sell.

Has anyone purchased the HID conversion from MRP? Is it any good ie worth £180?

Cheers for your opinions. Any other comments would be welcomed.

The hid kit i bought off clive is excellent, amazingly bright and no high wattage  bulb can compare!!

Halfords \'all weather\' bulb is good - better than the stock crap...

...but HID replacement - it beats up the Halfords bulb, steals it\'s dinner money and hands you a winner.  You will never look back.  They are bright - you will never use full beam again, you will get flashed by Water tANKERS in 4x4\'s and people carriers because they think you have full beam on - but it\'s worth the hassle so you can see where you are going :D

...and an added bonus - HID\'s produce a lot of UV light which means flourescent objects - such as road signs, markings and hiding policeman light up big time !
