well im 28 mate with 5 years ncb an no points at all in a good area , parked in locked gated driveway an im payin just over £600 fully comp with adrian flux with a cat 1 alarm , didnt think that was too bad myself ? hope that helps

beast20vt

yeah that helps although im with direct line for atleast another 5 months when i will have the full 5 years and im paying £505 on an alfa 156 2.5,think they are group 16 so can imagine me being asked a fair bit more for a 7:Grrr may ring them up tomorrow and see

d-king

your best getting rid of companys like that cause they have no understanding of these cars , i ditched tesco as they wanted £1200 plus a tracker and a cat 1 and a garage and i couldnt drive other vehiicles 3rd party AND couldnt put my 24 year old missus  on the policy , oh yeah just realised , im only 27 not 28 lmao

PETE SMITH

I\'ve got my FD insured under admiral--age 38 11yrsNCD 3 points-£960
Getting a TVR Sagaris tomorrow with Sainsbury\'s...£630 fully comp.
I\'m keeping both, guess i\'ll swap the FD to Sainsbury\'s car insurance!!:Giggle

suprised i realised i was 30 as i only turned(30 that is) on 2nd feb.
what has suprised me is all these 20yo lads paying less than £2k on a group 20 car:yes :rollin .when i was 20 they wouldnt insure me on a nova gsi!!! well aslong as its under £1000 i will take it.gonna be getting a cheap diesel 306 as an everyday/work car and just use the 7 on weekends and for the odd drive about so will be less than 6k miles a year.maybe i ought to clean the garage out

my mate has a sagarris-its amazing.he had a tuscan s before and that was leathal.i drove his sag a day after the tuscan and the sag is so much easier to drive and so much better-i totally envy you fella although the sag is going to make way for an 430 grrrr hate rich friends

maybe what i need to do is carry on building my garage ! i abandoned the project around 2 years ago , its just 4 walla and 2 windows with a gap for the door ! problem is though i know if i get it finished il never be in the house !!!!

beast20vt

did you abandon the project about the time you got the rex by any chance?:D
wonder what sort of extra price they charge for mods on engine/bodywork/suspension/wheels ect.

robedwards99

I am pretty much the same details as you.

I got my best quotes from A-Plan and Sky insurance.

I went with Sky as they gave an agreed value for an extra £35 or £25.

If you have a runaround, put the rex on a classic policy.  Try Heritage 08453734774

beast20vt

how much cheaper would a classic policy be and what mileage would i be limited too?are there anythings that arent covered under classic car insurence?

beast20vt

well got a quote off direct line who im with at the moment and the damage was £677.34 thats for 6000miles a year.i pay £505 for an alfa so that quote is good:Thumbs-up
my mum and dad are with direct line so i get like 24% discount or something like that

Crazy Eddie

I pay £350 fully comp with limit of 6000 miles a year with no NCB (because used on main car) With AON and I\'m 27.
Think you get discount with MRC too :Thumbs-up
HTH

beast20vt

????????how??????is that as a classic car?or do you live in chelsea and have a security guard watching over your car 24/7??

Crazy Eddie

92 FD Insured with AON and a Classic Car - Modern Classics.
Live in Telford, Shropshire and kept in Garage.
Previous cars Porsche Boxster (so I can\'t see that helping unless they think I drive like a hairdresser to have owned such a car! :D )
I\'m a Driving Instructor but again can\'t see this having a massive influence.
Give them a bell and quote MRC:
