Hi all,

Just had my gearbox oil changed for the recommended Syn5 race stuff as sold be Oilman! (top delivery BTW!).

Now a couple of things:

The specs say the gearbox should hold 2.5 Litres... However 3.5 litres came out and 3.5 litres went back in up to the fill mark... So I didn\'t have enough to do the diff as well sadly.

So is this normal???

Also there\'s what looks like an overdrive unit on the back of the gearbox with a seperate filler and oil. What\'s this? Is it 5th gear or something?

But the good news is the gearbox and diff oil was both very clean (just a mineral one) so it really looks like the car\'s been looked after! And the synth5 oil has made the gearshifts so much smoother! Very sweet, not to fit the FEED torque brace and have nice gearshifty fun :D

The 1st gen takes about 2.5l, thought the FD took more.

Did you have the car level ???

The Syn5 race stuff is the danglies. Takes a bit to warm up but is super smooth !
