" One car stands out from the crowd in 2003. In fact it stands out as the best by a country mile...It\'s the Mazda Rx-8."

There have been excellent reviews of the Rx-8, particularly the initial review in the September issue of "EVO". The recent issue of this magazine publishes a lukewarm account  from another reviewer. However the review by Mike Rutherford in the
December (no.785) issue of "AutoExpress" magazine is superlative.
This is one of the most intelligent and balanced accounts of the potential and character of this car that I have encountered. It also stands out as a welcome example of astute journalism.
It is refreshing to note that there is at least one motoring journalist who can pen some wisdom should he choose to do so. It is a refreshing change from the standard fare of propaganda for the motoring and road haulage lobbies........................

Motoring journalists please repeat after me......................

"We are not persecuted; We will in all future articles attest to the truth; and will wonder in print why it is that Britain has the largest
group of child and vulnerable road user deaths and serious injuries in Europe".................................................

Now thats better!

Thanks for posting that ,

I was able to make a few comparisons for myself yesterday concerning the RX-8 vs the 350Z whilst in Reading,
first we saw a 350 in a Titanium type colour apart from the feeling that it looks a bit like a pumped up Audi TT it looks O/K  but then a little wile later we came across an RX-8 [ reg ended with AMO ] in Titanium!

This was the first one l have followed down the road and two things struck me ,

It sits much lower and squatter than l thought this was because the Golf it was following was visible above way above the RX-8!

But the main thing was the RX-8 looks MUCH MUCH more aggressive than the 350 and has Soooooooo much more presence than the 350! indeed if l were Nissan at the moment l would be cursing the RX-8 because l would say lt has totally stolen their thunder !

When Glenn and myself formed the club this car was just a dream and all around didn\'t think it would be built but we went ahead and formed a club that would embrace this new car when they built it along with the older Rotarys so it\'s real special for me to now see these cars out on the road.
All the best Clive
