now let me state i am not endorsing this or an expert but

there have been reports of possibly the fuel pump having problems due lower voltages etc
there is a write up over on the us forums for a simple solution
in the fuse box containing the fuel pump relay there is a spare fuse holder that takes a feed direct from the battery
if u cut the blue wire from the relay and attatch a connector to the end and then push this from below and onto the fuse u then have a direct feed that will have approx 2volts more feed
another way is to take a feed from the battery fuse it and attatch to the blue wire feeding the relay.if u want it explained by someone more adept and informed look on rx7club.com...seems a good and simple way of ensuring good fuel pump voltages avoiding thwe ignition circuit which has several drains on it leaving a lower voltage at the pump
hope this helps

I\'ve done this but have yet to test it. On my car i found that it was the blue/red wire, when i done the blue wire it gave the Igntion a constant live, might be a difference in my car or a difference in US and Jap cars.

andy k i think by looking at the wiring diagram u have bypassed the relay by cutting the blue/red wire..the blue wire coming out of the relay needs to be cut and the new feed added to the end coming out of the relay not to the other end of the blue wire ..adding the feed to the wrong end will i think give ur ign a constant live feed

As found on another car on rx7club.com not everyones wires are the same, maybe something to do with the alarm wiring. I know that for me using the blue/red wire worked and using the solid blue one didn\'t.
