Bose CD Unit

Have manage to get hold of the original bose units and tried installing it all today to run on the bose stuff that is still in the car.

Everything works fine apart from when i insert a CD into the CD slot a message appears on the CD unit saying CHECK and then it spits the CD out.

I think everything is installed correctly as all units get power, sound comes from where it should e.c.t

Any help or advice on sorting this problem or how to get round it would be great.

Glad you\'ve got some life out of it! Have you tried different CDs? Some older players won\'t work with discs with more than a certain number of tracks. Have you tried running a lens cleaner through it?

I manage to hold of another set as well as yours just in case, but i get the same message on both the cd units.
Both the tape and radio ones work fine.

Have tried the above but still getting same message.

Any more advice welcome.
