With highflow twins (TURBO TECHNICS), front mount, water injection and all the correct fueling, whats the best bhp you can get fron a std  unported engine.

I was getting 320 at the rear wheels on stock twins, with fmic and w i  and fuelling at around 1.0 Bar.  Turbos didn\'t last very long though

Wow, thats a great power figure strange days! no wonder the turbos shot quick though lol. How long did they last out of interest?

Why not go with a small single? I have a Garrett T04E on a cast manifold. There isn\'t much difference between in lag between my T04E and stock twins time you have the front mount on there. Its a nice lil turbo to run around town on.

Rixio

I run 316atw @1bar on stock twins and fueling without wi and fuel cut at 5300rpm :Laugh
When its rebiult again it should be pushing another 40hp i hope. Adding fueling and a few other bits & bobs ;)

Where is one to find these "cast" manifolds?

Surely the Highflow twins are stronger too, rather than just flowed??

Thats my assumption, without knowing there specs.  If I was flowing the turbos, I would be doing what I could to make them stronger.

Hi flow twins are just that - stock twins refurbed, bigest restriction to getting more power out of the twin rotor engine is the twin turbo setup due to the way the are made you hit to many restrictions, more boost / flow you try to push through them the more heat they generate the more inifficient they become, stop wasting money and heartache accept the twin turbo setup has a ceiling [320ish safely]

but remember what the re amemiya cars can do with the seq turbo setup!! for road race its very hard to beat!

Neil_M

I tend to agree... While there are limitations on what a turbo can flow.  You can also build it stronger too.

Internet descriptions dont help things.  Highflow turbos dont have to mean just that.

John Yorke

Put it this way, I dont see any twin turbos comming past me, been there done that, best you will see is 320ish atw, have run BNR\'s, uprated stocks - seq and non seq you are dreaming if you expect any more and run a safe map

John_Hudson

These are some specs on a set of uprated twin im expecting a delivery of in comparison to stock, im told they are good for upto 1.4 bar. They are more than enough for me but decide for yourself.

Knightsports RF420 twins, good for 420ps (415 hp)

Knightsports
Major(compressor) 60.1MM
Inducer 47.4MM
Bearing 9.17MM
Major(shaft) 5.96MM
Inlet Size 46.8MM

Stock
Major(compressor) 57.0MM
Inducer 42.1MM
Bearing 7.75MM
Major(shaft) 4.97MM
Inlet Size 42.55MM

Nice spec, they are still twins with the same restrictions, will make the same heat, and cooling will be an issue, would love to see twins make that power...for real;) , just so as you know the Border car that ran at Thor on the dynoday was running 2 single turbos made 425 they were like 2 TO4e\'s in size.
Best of luck with your project I will look forward to your results.

mikeyh

so whats the power diffference to stock twins to stock non seq twins??

philiwily

wouldn\'t have thought there would be any differance. just in the delivery but could be wrong
