My car when it left the showroom, all those many years ago in a far off land, it left with a lovely Bose system inside it, however, the problem being that over the year’s parts have been taken out and replaced.

I am trying to get the Bose system back into my car but am struggling, I current have the original air flow sub thing that came in the boot and the centre speaker and the amp. I am sourcing the door speakers and trying to find the head unit.

After looking behind the head unit that is in there at the mo I think that who ever fitted it has cut the connector off and fixed the wires together so I am not sure what is supposed to be there.

If any has any pics of the original head unit that ran the Bose system or pics of wiring leading to the head unit or wiring diagrams or any information that might be of help I would really appreciate it.

Also just to add I got in touch with Bose who were very helpful in giving me a few diagrams of the system (not wiring thought) and part numbers.

I\'ve got the BOSE system in mine, I think it is still standard.

I\'ve heard the head unit(s) are rebadged Clarion, would agree by the look.

Don\'t have a camera and phone pics are rubbish, sorry chap.

I\'m thinking of removing it pretty soon so it would be available with all the wiring.

I would be very interested in the head units and the door speakers and all I need is the loom that goes into the head units, all other parts and wiring is still there.

Any more idea on when you might be removing it and just out of interest what you thinking of putting in.

Hi Dazpoynter.
I\'ve got a wiring diagram which I can try e-mailing you if you PM me. Unfortunately its 33Mb, so I don\'t think I can do it as an attachment. Alternatively, send me your address and I\'ll burn it onto a CD for you. The pages cover;
The general system layout including all the amp / speaker modules etc.
Location of all the plugs
Colour coding for all the plugs
General routing of the loom through the car
It\'s for a \'94 LHD model so there may be some differences, but I\'d guess the loom colours would be similar.

I\'ve recently taken the head unit bits out, and I was considering taking out the door speakers, central speakers, and amp so if you are interested, make me an offer! I would say though that the reason for taking them out is I\'ve never had them working properly; I think the previous owner took the system apart to try to convert the radio for UK, then didn\'t get it back together properly. The tape player works, but only on the central speaker. The radio just hisses, I suspect because it\'s set up for Japan. The CD never does anything, but I never investigated whether or not it was even getting power! Also, the unit are a bit on the shabby side; still, if you\'re interested, let me know!

Mave - Cant pm you as not a full member yet.

My email is dazpoynter@yahoo.co.uk, if you could try and send the info over that would be great, if not let me know. Also could you email us some photo\'s of the units and do you know if the door speakers work at all as after some asap.

Also would you be willing to cut the connector with a bit of wire so i can fix it back to the wiring that has been cut in mine as i think you need to do this to fit an after market head unit any way.

Let me know and will talk prices

Cheers.
