Lost my second tubby a few nights ago after giving it some stick, primary turbo is ok but no second turbo kick, boost was just fading away, removed the upper inlet manifold and checked the rats nets, found a pipe clean off, the pipe was off the turbo control solenoid, but when i removed the manifold ive some how broken the double throttle solenoid!!!, broken the pipe clean off!!!! just wondering weather i can run the FD with out it connected, as i can see the double throttle is only active when the engine is cold. any idea\'s

Cheers

Just run without the secondary throttle. It\'s just a safety device to stop you giving the car too much welly before it\'s warmed up properly. The secondary throttle butterflies \'default\' to open, so you\'re ok.

Cheers mate, i couldnt see that the double throttle would cause a problem, i\'ll probably remove the throttle flaps from the manifold now iv\'e got it all off.
****e myself when i saw the rats nets for the first time!!!!! wot a stupid idea. what solenoids have you left on now you\'ve gone single? or have you totally removed all solenoids and pipes

nikp

There will be no pipes or solenoids left - although i may keep the double throttle myself!

carefull incase this creates any air leaks which equals knock and then BANG....
