Just curious about my fuel econemy........... I whent up to see my beter half for the weekend and knoked up 395 miles which cost me £65!!! How does that compair to yours.... Good, Bad etc.????

Most of it was at 65-70 with the odd occasional speed limit + a little bit for the queen!!!

I reckon that equates to about 27 or 28 miles to the gallon (depending on exactly what you pay for your petrol)....That\'s an mpg I could only dream of...I don\'t think I could top 20mpg whatever I did...normally 16-18 on long runs (are you sure you\'ve got your quantities right? Cos this seems amazing to me) :bandit
FD or not FD? that is the question.

i topped up the other day for £61 and have so far done 165 motorway miles and 30 street miles with about 20 miles street driving left in the tank. i reckon i could get about 240 motorway miles at the very, very best

WOW, I just worked it out too!!!!!!
26 MPG :god  :god  :god  :god  :driving

Thats with some triple figures cos some retard upset me!!!!

I find it very possable to get high 20\'s (like 28) if I show restraint, this is usually doing about 55ish on the back roads and 65ish on the motorway, then again I am stock :)

I dont mind the low MPG as I don\'t do that many miles, but it\'s always good to see what you can achieve if you can be blessed!  ;)

Well if you want to feel very happy with your MPG my car has just been rebuilt and is on a "safe" map.....  Today i put £10 in and drove to work and back (8 miles each way) and my lights back on. Arnt i lucky and thats not even WOT as i\'m running in. I can\'t wait to get it mapped.

Oh yea, thats the other thing, she is prety much stock (filters & cat back)
But that will change as soon as I can afford it!!!!

D1 WTF

you all sound pretty lucky to me.  from a full tank/£70 the best i have ever had is about 250miles and that was 95% motorway driving.  and when i used it for smaller motorway trips and to get to uni and about i went through a full tank in 190miles

at best it is about 18/19 miles to gallon but i have had it as bad as 12/13.  which is painful considering i am a student.
IF YOU DIDN\'T CARE YOU WOULDN\'T BE LOOKING

i get about that to a tank as well -

i made it to bristol with the needle just over the halfway mark from doncaster and thats about 200 mile. I pay 97.9 for optimax.

My car is stock with air filters and cat back - i drive steady on the motorway about 120Kph and but will teach the odd nobsack riding my bumper a lesson.

£110 worth of fuel 512klms with plenty of spirited driving not sure what that is in mpg

G@NDY

how about £91 to do 200 miles    and that was mainly motorway driving and low boost.

Usually get about 250-280 miles to a full tank.
I try to be a bit retrained on the longer journeys to shows and such, but cant help putting my foot down from time to time. Thats what these cars are all about after all:D

One thing that strikes me about this thread is how imprecise everyone is. To monitor mpg properly you have to keep track of mileage and litres of fuel over a reasonable period of time and then do the calculation. Mind you I\'m just as bad..... an FD is so poor on fuel consumption that it\'s better not to know the awful truth - so people come up with vague statements like \' I get 200 miles to a tankfull\' In reality it is just a way of avoiding working out exactly how bad that really is..... :2Confused  :2eek  :Hammer
