Broken bit on gearlever

Hi Guys,

Forgive the non technical title lol

In taking apart my dash I also had to remove the gear lever and have found a large broken piece, looks like a rubber gaitor, not sure if it is just for protection to stop muck getting into the gearbox fluid or is it something I need to replace ?

Please can anyone tell me if this is a piece I can get from Mazda without having to buy the whole gear lever ?

Also looking to replace the nylon/plastic bit on the end too.
