right its now time to change these lame speakers.
the rear ones are blown, so its now time to replace.. has anyone put 6x9s in the place of these? as it looks like they will fit..

there was 3 screws which looked like it was holding the speaker in to that gold bracked, but i can not move it one inch and the bracket is bolted in behind the interior :/
is there any easy way of getting these out ? if so what size speakers you lot got in there and what size can you fit in the front?

The speaker size\'s in the rear are 5x7 (definitely) or 6x8 (i think). The original speakers will be screwed and glued in so you\'ll have to prise them out as well as unscrewing them.

Hope this helps.  ;)

i was prising but the metal was just flexing, so i presumed i must have been missing somethin.. i will have another go.
the original are 6x8 but theres quite a bit of space around them :d

Why bother? You can get the correct size speakers from Kenwood.

mind you.. unless you want to upgrade them I suppose you would have more choice with 6x9s

i dont think 6x9 will fit. i tried a few years back and gave up because they were too close to the side panels.
