Fuel type

Being new to the rotary, and the Renesis in particular, is there a fuel recommendation?  Do these things run any kind of \'knock sensor\' type arrangement?  What fuel is specified by Mazda and will it benefit from higher octane?  Can it adapt ignition timing dynamically and, if so, does this have the same benefits as on an Otto engine?

BP and Shell will tell you that their new fuels will help keep intake valves cleaner.... great :rolleyes:
