Just a few questions I\'d like answer as I\'m new to this rotary lark. At what revs should my 2 turbos come in? What should my oil pressure gauge be reading at 3k revs? On my power fc commander it reads "inj d" what is this and what should it be? Should i get full boost in first gear?
By the way I\'ve got a 94 type r with a blitz intercooler, hks induction and apexi zorst runnin a base map on a power fc.

Jay, here goes.

Second turbo\'s start spooling up around 3500rpm, swap over at about 4500rpm, and full on the second by 5000rpm. Boost pattern of 10-8-10 during this cycle.

Oil pressure gauges are crap in these cars. I cannot rely on mine, so I fitted an aftermarket gauge.

But to answer your question, at say cruise around 3k you should see it around 60-75psi (about haf way up the gauge). Above 4k it should be at the top of the gauge.

Common problem is that they stop working properly.

Inj d = Injector duty. This is telling you how hard the injectors are working. Anything above 90% and you want to be looking at upgrading your fuel system.

Cheers Dan. . .Thanks for the help. What exactly is 10-8-10?I know what you mean about the gauges I\'ve got an aftermarket one and it seems more accurate. This might sound like i\'m really dumb but how do you eequate psiinto kg like on my dials, i.e I\'m running 0.7 bar how many psi is this? Silly question i kinow but  its my first turbo motor[taik about jumping at the deep end]

JimboRX-7

1 bar = 14.5 psi

Should an FD give full boost in 1st gear, or is it restricted?

Jay, 10-8-10 is the pattern you should see on your boost gauge.

Pressure convertor. Follow this link and it will convert almost every form of pressure.
