Sound like a knackered sensor/Broken wire?

Tony, Dom and myself manged to get the engine going today with not too many disasters, thanks guys.

One issue is the coolant warner buzzer and light are on constantly.  All gauges are reading fine and there is plenty of coolant in the system, thought it could be the coolant level sensor so this was cut off and the wire grounded.  This didn\'t stop the buzzer, so guess i need to trace the wire back to see if i can find a break (not hopefull) the other is to check the other sensors, according to the US forum there is another sensor near the PS pump.  Anyone got any pics of this sensor?  All readings from the PFC are good with no errors so it doesn;t look like anything has been plugged in wrong.

If the above fails how do i kill the buzzer? going to reworx on thursday so can asked them to sort it, just don\'t fancy 2 and a half hours of buzzing!

there is a wire down the passenger side of the engine just forward of the oil filler neck, you might not of connected it to the actual wiring loom of the car.. worth a check as this will set the buzzer off
There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

12.3 second 1/4 mile, terminal speed of 122mph (1st ever drag run on a TO4R)

engine built by....... umm me! now powered by a T51 Kai......

just to clarify a few points,    the fan switch and the water temp sensor are both fine and working (fans come on and the temp is accurate on the power fc commander)
it is purely the water level light and buzzer.  The loom is typically brittle and with pulling the engine out it could have quite easily broken.

Does anybody know if the black wire with the red dot on that goes to the water level sensor goes directly to the ecu? if so is still the same colour at the ecu??

PS   Graham your welcome..
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

that wire is for the dash board gauge and that seems to be working.

Graham,  in the daylight when its cool have a check on the passenger side to see if there are any other single spade terminals that would reach the water sensor mentioned above.  IF you find one, ground it out and see if the buzzer stops.  Although if the dash gauge works i think we have the right wire going to it.  (check the dash gauge as i didnt)
