Ok after looking for months for a way to fix my clowly fading clutch it finally gave way, for months my clutch has slowly been fading if i keep it pressed in, it would eventually engage the clutch to the point where the car would drive away with my foot to the floor on the clutch pedal.
Today on my way to work POP the pedal just sank to the floor and never came up again, my instant diagnosis was a clutch slave cylinder but after getting it to my place of work and placing it on the ramp i got sombody to press the clutch till i spotted where it was leaking, luckily for me it was just on the pice of flexy pipe about 12 inch long and about 8 inch from the slave, as i work at a mx5 importers i just removed one from one of our dismanteld cars and placed it on mine ( about a 10 min job) and it works a treat, so i guess the moral is if ya got a slowly fading clutch to the point where the pedal feels like its stuck on the floor then check your flexy pipe as its verry easy to replace ;).
Hope this helps as i know there are people here with the same symptoms.
