been a while since i\'ve been on, so hello again!

i\'ve been neglecting the rex as of late, and she ain\'t happy about it! i\'d left her for about 3-4 weeks without starting- just never got a chance. anyway, when i went to start her the battery is, unsurprisingly, dead. i changed the battery and have now got the following problems:

the apexi display has gone a bit funny, see pic. i think it\'s showing the max value for each reading, it never did that before

she drives fine in 1st gear, but as soon as i change up to 2nd, there is low power, even with pedal to the floor. sometimes, boost is loooow and it hardly goes anywhere. when i let off the throttle there is a quite an embarrassing \'cooo\' sound! kinda like a depressed pigeon!!  :xconfused !!

other times boost is almost 10psi, and it revs up quite quickly, but the power doesn\'t match the revs, maybe clutch slipping?

on the (very) odd occasion i get full boost in 2nd/ 3rd gear or above, there is a noticeable stuttering as revs increase. could this be misfiring?

finally, when i turn the engine off, the boost gauge settles at odd values in vacuum.

sooooo, there are a few problems, but they are all intermittent. i searched a little bit on the problems, and will check the fault codes as per this thread as soon as i get a chance:

cheers kev-yorks!

mods:
apexi power fc, base map
apexi twin induction kit
racing beat twin exhaust, de-cat

can anyone shed any light on these probs?

can i reset the ecu to the base map again?

(just realised, i can\'t post attachments- must renew membership)

thanks

The blink code list is for the stock ECU i don\'t run a apexi myself so not 100% sure but i think it has a error check function for checking faults one of the many FD guys running the apexi will no doubt post and let you know for sure.

The Maximum Readings whilst in Monitor mode is selected by pressing the Up arrow, to go back select the down arrow - not sure if that s what you mean though   :2Rolleyes

nikp

Are you running an electronic boost gauge, or mechanical boost gauge? If it mechancial, then i guess there\'s a problem with the boost gauge. If it\'s electronic, then there\'s either a problem with the boost gauge itself, or with the MAP sensor - and, incidentally, it\'s common for faults to occur with the map sensor, and can give problems similar to your own.

d\'oh! i pressed the down arrow on the apexi, and it\'s back to normal...  cheers mark

i have a mechanical boost gauge, so i\'ll check the piping on that

could it be misfiring? or is it more likely a ground fault as per the link in my first post?

......but the sound is bizarre!
