Strange Problem

Have a couple of strange electrical problems with my RX, i believe it\'s to do with an earthing issue, but just looking for a little confirmation, so here goes.

(1) I have a kenwood DVD headunit which will intermittantly(sp) turn itself off when i depress the brake peddle.

(2) My petrol gauge actually moves up (Bet we wish we all had this lol ) and not by a little, moves right up so it looks like i have a full tank, and also the the low fuel light will be on..

Can anyone shed any light on these???
