Hello, I have signed up as I am a happy owner of two old mazda clunkers, neither are rotary powered though.

my 929 koop:

I bouth this on a whim a year or so ago out of the classified in a french classic car mag (I am english, but live in France). It had sat in a garage in Strasbourg for years after the owner died. Its done 70k and is totally orignal, never welded or sprayed, not concours but nice enough to give me a complex whenever it gets rained on.

The wagon:

Bought off UK ebay for 108 quid, it turned out to be a one-owner 53k minter!!! Well worth the soul-destroying overnight coach journey to pick it up. I use it daily and have added 9000 miles to it this year, its freakin great.

Im on the lookout for some bits if anyone can make any suggestions: For the koop, I need a 5-speed gearbox. This would have to come from a rwd 626 or 929 for the gearlever extension to be in the right place. I bought one from a series 1 RX7, and I set on fitting it, only when I had the koop in bits and had half-dismantled both boxes, spreading the bits out all over the gararge floor, did i realise it wasnt going to happen.

For the wagon, I really really would like a pair of rear bumper end caps, so many of these must have been torn off and binned by banger racers yet I have looked everywhere I can think of and no luck so far. I\'d happily take the whole rear bumper if anyone knows where there is a dead 929.

PS here is a nice 323 auto currently for sale on French Ebay, fully roadworthy, for 140 quid.

Hey nice to see you here mate. Seen a couple of nice old skoolers forsale in France recently. Did you see the 616 on there the other week? I\'ve seen your 929 koop at the Retro Car Show and it looks great! Welcome to the fun! :Thumbs-up

Damn its a pity that the french stuff is left hand drive. Mind you it is the perfect basis for a drag only vehicle.
I love the estate. It looks amazing!
  cheers for the pictures.
