Coming off the M25 last night onto the M3 in the FD. Lots of rain and spray.  So I join the M3, and I join the traffic and gently move across the 2 lanes towards the outside lane. There was spray for the cars in front of me. I indicate to move into the 3rd lane EXCEPT THERE ISNT ONE - only 2 lanes!!

I hit a drain that had a sort of a ramp, and it bounced the right hand side of the car up in the air, and pushed the car left, back into the outside lane. God knows how I missed the barrier!!

Luckily, no apparent damage to the car - PHEW!

People, dont invent 3 lanes when there are only 2 !!!

You\'re a very lucky man. Glad you\'re ok.

I know this is off topic but have you tryed Rain X? Its a water repellent and its that good you can actually drive without the wipers on.

Anyway Glad you and the 7 are ok

Yes I know about rain-X, guess its time to put some on!  GOing cone-dodging on Sunday and its a wet forecast, so I will put lots on tomorrow.

Thanks chaps, I SOOO nearly hit the barrier !

zevans

I hate it when that happens... there\'s a crawler lane somewhere in Derbyshire which stops almost exactly on the brow of the hill, so you get no warning, nearly did the same thing myself there!

Martiny

I took Scoomers advice and I have put TONS of rain repellent on now!

Just trying to do a Dukes of Hazard realy wern\'t you?
Just see how far you can go on 2 wheels!!

Wana watch out for those drains, almost hit one the other day, drain cover had been forced up in the rain and was standing on end in the drain, would have made a prety mess of the 7!!

Gald all is OK with you both, bet you were doing this after all had settled down :god .

Yes I was very thankful that me and the car are OK, no apparent damage. I am now going to attack the other 3 cars with the rain repellent seeing as the rainy season is here.

Good moove, its a pain in the arse when it\'s drizzle though! you can get a rainex screen wash addetive and it tops up the repelling thingy me bob of the rainex on the screen!
It\'s pink, Got Rain-x on it and smells kift!
