what kind of price would these usually go for?

Ive got the last couple of oil filters for halfords, its a general stock item usually as it fits other cars that are slighty more common :) Plugs, any of the rotary dealers (especially if you want 7\'s), 9\'s shouldnt have a problem getting a normal garage to get these for go just give \'em the part no (NGK bur9ep...something like that i think)

ScuttleRX

<----or get the whole service pack :)

anthony

is that just for an oil service?
so thats what a filter a sump plug washer and some mineral oil?

or does it contain like spark plugs dizzy caps etc etc :)

you only need the cooler ones if you are actually going track driving?
when i read the faq they seem to suggest : BUR7EQP ?? is that correct i can buy spark plugs online so thats easy.
nice to know you can get filters from old halfords how much they cost there? usual of like £6 or something?

people are suggesting castrol gtx 3? how much this cost in halfords? or someone know a cheaper place?

ScuttleRX

seen gtx in tescos for 11.99, as standard the cars ran 7s and 9s (one set in leading, one in trailing) but as 7\'s are sometimes hard to get hold of a lot of people run 9\'s all round (me included) with no problems.

I use GTX at the moment but thinking about switching to either royal purple of one of the silkolene range (Rotary art and opie oils are the chaps to speak to about oil).

Copied this off Dragons website for ya, shows whats in the service pack :
Dragon service kit includes new oil filter, sump plug washer, both drive belts, 4x NGK spark plugs, fuel filter

just wondered how much this sort of car would be going for?
anyone?

Its hard to say really, the market has took a bit of a dive, depending on a compression and pressure test to prove the rebuild and sort of mileage, anything between 7 and 9 grand i would say. But then again i dont really know that much :yes just trying to help

id say thats worth a touch over 6k. Mine is pretty much the same spec but no engine rebuild and i paid around 5 to 6 but paid over odds.

Some cars of that year sell for about £6500 with an engine rebuild, but may prove problematic in other areas.  I\'d say a really good example which is in extremely good condition (with all receipts to prove etc.) would be worth £7k - £8k in pretty much standard spec.  You\'ll easily spend a grand on servicing and changing a few bits if you buy a slightly dodgy one.  You\'ll definately spend a grand if you buy from Japan and will spend a hell of a lot more if you but a dud, Id say.  I would recommend looking for a car owned in this country for a year or so and thats had all the work done to it already (including a rebuild by a specialist) - like mine!  :)   ;)   Im putting mine up for sale this evening (sob) due to moving house and needing the capital.  Its had thousands and thousands spent on it to make it what it is and was nowhere near a crapper when I started!  So, spend as much as you can afford in my opinion, and ensure you buy a decent one to save you not only mucho money, but also loads of agro!   :yes

P.S. mine will be up in the sale section this evening...
