Anyone had there gearbox/diff oil changed at a garage lately, just wondering how many hours labour they are likely to charge? Considering getting it done for the weekend if the price is right :)

Had mine done month or so ago, up in the air [on a 4 poster] it took no more than an hour.
If you are going for the 1/4 make sure you put the right stuff in :evillaugh

Sounds promising, I\'ll have a hunt round tomorrow see what prices people are asking

Pretty much the only reason im changing it, last run of year might as well make it a good \'un :) When you say that do you just mean use some good quality stuff, or is there a type of oil that would be more suited to drag launches and not so delicate gear shifts :D

Thats the one :)  dont ask me what I had in mine, all I know is you have to change it every 6k or 6 months which ever is soonist, good oil makes quite a difference to the amount of abuse you can give them

I got my diiff oil done at reworx last week including the oil don\'t think it cost more than 20 quid. Did the gearbosx myself a while back thought, its definately worth putting good oil in, I used redline heavy duty shockproof oil in my gearbox.
