my insurance runs out next sunday, so i gave houghton a quick ring to see how much the renewal would be for the year, bearing in mind that i paid £280 fully comp on the classic policy last year i was a little bit annoyed when they said that it cost me £520 this year grrrrrrrrrr :reallymad All they said was the premiums have gone up on these cars, so i decided to ring round and AON quoted me £440 its still not the quote i wanted this year but its saved me a few quid, has anyone elses insurance gone up this year

insurance has gone up by alot this year between jul-aug because there is lots more people claiming for personal injuries this that and the other so we are paying the price, on average premium has gone up but 20-30 percent. for example in july i looked around for my vxr i was quoted around 1k and when it came to renew witch was end of aug the best quote i have got was 1227 so hope this answers your question

I rang my insurance about changing my car back to the rex.....midway through policy, and they were going to charge an extra £160, even though I\'d paid £800 at the beginning of the year

You can always sell up and get a consistently (year after year with little to no rise in insurance) cheap to insure Deawoo Matiz 0.8L..

Or you can remember you drive a high performance sports car, and so insurance will never be "cheap"..  :D

all insurance has gone up mate, i got another years no claims to my name and they put my bora from 61 a month up to 75!!! i went on there own website and it was 300 a year cheaper if i as a new customer, told them i wasnt happy with there quote, gave them the quote number and got it at the lower price, even though that was even more than it was about 6 months ago when i checked, the lady on the phone said to me all insurance has sky rocketed!!

Mine has also gone up by nearly 25% from Peter Best. Dead happy last year when i got it insured for £352 fully comp but this year they want £434.
Life is never fair but its no wonder there are countless uninsured drivers out there.
