Hi guys,
I was just wandering about a couple of things;

The bonnet on my fd is fine (totally stock), but I\'m a bit concerned about the heat under there. The stuff under the bonnet has been all stuck up with botch tape and generally looks a mess.

A lot of the bonnets I\'ve seen browsing this site are a bit extreme
for me and was thinking of putting a couple of naca type intakes
on either side. Obviously the bonnet would have to be cut and resprayed after. At the same time I\'d like to put something under the bonnet to tidy it up and maybe relfect the heat downwards. Maybe something like what we used to call in the airforce "speed tape" - self adhesive aluminum foil.

Anyone have any experience/opinions on any of this?

Thanks

You can get a stick on metal sheting I think Foli tech do something like that you can get their stuff from Demon Tweeks. But you really want to take heat away from the engine not reflect it down. Thats why the McLaren F1 has gold lined under the bonet because of its high heat distribution properties.

You should find removing the crappy underbonnet blanket will help.

I believe you can get the gold bonnets from HSamuels - but only in 9 carat gold...
