T2 Water temp gauge?

Hi All.

I am Having some problems with my Water temp gauge, Well its stopped working if you can call that a problem :rolleyes:

I am not sure if my wiring or the sender has packed up, Is it the same Theory to test a temp wiring as to test a rad fan temp wiring? (basicly bridge the plug with the ignition on and see if the fan kicks in or in my case the gauge moves?)
