What boost do you intend running? Where are you taking the car?

I would imagine 10s and 11s depending what driving you are doing perhaps. We (being RE:Worx) always have them in stock and you can order them from the website if Pip (presuming you are going their) has run out or is any more expensive.

the car is running 0.8 bar at the moment but will be mapped up for 1.2

my driving is normal road use, with abit of thrashing here andthere, and possibly a few 1/4 mile attempts at RS...:D

so 10s and 11s???

i really wanna get these ordered adn put in before i go to get the carmapped at WGT, its booked for a week on wednesday

I\'d run cold ones then, 10s and 11s.

Ed - a few people seem to have problems but that can be down to other factors, like mapping, engine condition, rest of ignition system etc. We have loads of cars running about on R74210 and 11s without issues, Pip uses the same. If Babz is intending to run 1.2 bar I\'d definitely be going a lot colder. Check the rest of the your ignition system is good too, leads at least - the dyno highlights loads of problems with old or bad quality plug leads etc - just wastes the dyno operators time and costs money...

FYI, the R742s are the Iridium plugs.

Rich, what about running 9\'s leading and say 10\'s or 11\'s trailing? That way it gives a bit of both worlds?

T\'is another option certainly, a few guys here do this I know and also some of the NZ FD boys run 11 and 9 combos...

If your cars been/being mapped by some one then ask them what they suggest, if they are tuning to certain parameters based on a specific setup - use what they say and stay with it...

Spoke to Pip a week or so ago when i needed new plugs for my rex. It\'s running a T88 single (currently running 0.7 Bar) but will be getting mapped by Pip shortly to around the same as Babz 1.2 on hight boost.

So Pip advised me to get colder plugs and i\'m now running NGK iridium plugs 10.5 all the way round. I haven\'t had any problems starting her up or using her in day to day driving, so once again Pips advice was spot on!!!

Most people dont have problems using cold plugs daily, I used to run 11s all round \'commuting\' a mile to and from work each day :)

I dont think NGK do a 10.5 Iridium tho mate, think the NGK R6725-105s are normal platinum plugs, the R742s in 10s and 11s are the Iridium jobs, hence they cost a bit more...

Maybe i didn\'t read the boxes quite right, but i\'m sure they were iridium, so maybe i got the heat wrong. I do know it cost me £110 for 4 but they work so am not bothered about that lol.....

I have never had a problem running cold plugs. I run 10\'s and 11\'s.

Oh yes, too much fun to be even in just that mile to leave her at home ;-) Not very clever on the motor of course, no warm up or cool down!
