Grizzly,
I noticed on one of the US boards that you had exactly the same problem which I am having now - my car is pulling to the left and there is uneven thread wear on the outside of the LHS tyre. I have had the alignment checked and everything seems ok.

In your post it seems that changing the tyres made the problem go away. Is this the case? Did the problem come back over time?
I would be interested to hear how you got on before I start messing with ball joints and track rod ends.

Cheers

Yep, That was on my Convertable.

I still to this day don\'t know why it did it?

I did go back to the tyre palce to have a look at them, there was nothing ovious wrong but they had started going hard and when they where off the rims they had a flat spot (must have been where it was stood).

Anyway thats way quite a long time ago now and i\'ve since put some Brand new Dunlops on and apart from the odd S**t camber\'d road its fine.

I spoke to lots of people about this problem when i was experiancing it, I belive the most common one is the rear steer bushings going. But you can feel this but driving in a line and gentaly steer from side to side, one way will move the car more dramaticly for the same movement of the wheel.

I belive the second most common is having a soft spring, from what i\'ve read it messes up the weight balance at the front of the car. But i guess if you put it on a flat surface you can measure the wheel to arch clearance, it may also be worth measuring the ft wheel to rear wheel, becouse that will also show bad bushings or possable damage.

have u checked out the camber setting on ure suspension!!! especially if u have changed it or upgraded it!!!!
cheers col let me know how u get on

Chris,

thanks. Rear bushings seem ok but you have raised in question in my mind about the springs. The left hand side of the sits sbout 3mm lower than the RHS.

I\'m going to swap my front and back tryes to see if that makes a difference. I can\'t help wondering if this is just due to crap tyres - these are Faulken tyres and the car has been sitting in the garage for most of the winter.

I will let you all know how it turns out.
