I am pleased to announce that the much respected Torque Developments International PLC, more commonly known as TDI have kindly offered a 10% discount on their Labor prices on production of your membership number to all of our "Fully Paid Up"  Mazdarotaryclub members.

This will be especially beneficial to our London area members as they are currently based in Barking, Essex, and also possibly to people from further a field given their Rotary experience as they have worked on and modified the 3rd Gen\'s since it came out in 1992, and just as a bonus they even have a very knowledgeable Aussie Rotary nut working there!

They also have a Rotortest hub mounted dynopack which is much kinder and more accurate for your car than a Rolling road and will cost just £80 per hour with no set up fees involved unlike the some, for our members this means that you should be able to have your Rotary tuned for a very reasonable cost.

Look out for MRC being incorporated in their forthcoming adverts announcing their new larger premises in the heart of Lakeside shopping centre.

I do have to work in Barking from time to time, was there last week and I\'m there next week.

Wondering if they might be able to sort out my half boost issue!?!

Anyone been to them personally? Would make monday morning drive there a bit more interesting all be it 2-3 times as expensive. I pretty sure my RX costs more than 35p per mile to run so would be at a loss but at least some costs would be covered by work.

Any phone numbers so I could give them a ring to discuss?

regards

Gareth

Well if you boys, girls and Si need anything I am sure that they would do a mail order service.

If they dont, I am sure that local members might be willing to come to some arrangement.

Is there some kind of vendor arrangement going on here then or what?

Here\'s a good question, seeing as my Rx has alot of tuning goodies allready. Do you think they would give me discount on a S2000 exhaust for the wife\'s car;) . May try them soon could be worth a shot. Cheers Leigh.

Please note this question is very much tongue in cheek :p , and I realise some people may point out that it will only probably be on Rotary parts only as we are all aware that this is Mazdarotaryclub after all. Also please note I do not wish too offend anyone with the above statements, as I realise this is a very politically (spelling:confused: ) correct world in which we live in. Phew hope that\'s covered all the bases ;) ;) ;)

Hi Leigh,

Sorry Guys this prompted me to look again at what l wrote !.

This offer is for labor, the idea is that MRC members haven\'t got to travel far if they live in london to find somone to look after their Rotary.

Hi All,

Unfortunately my initial  post has caused a few complaints to Glenn, one from an anonymous person and the other a well known Vendor.

Here is my explanation to try and explain why l took the club into this deal and why they have received a one post advert that has sadly ruffled a few feathers.

Mazdarotaryclub\'s primary aim is and should be, to help people with other Rotary\'s and so when l was contacted about this offer l thought it was a good idea to not only help people in the London area but also give just another little incentive to join MRC as a full club member because after all we are not "just" another internet forum, but a full blown "on the ground club".

In addition to the offer of a member discount  the club will also receive publicity in a TDI advert in the major mags when it relaunches itself due to it\'s new premises, which will spread the MRC name further and hopefully attract more paying members.

In answer to the criticism of TDI receiving Vendor status l would like to point out that they were receiving just this one post from myself to advertise them whereas a Vendor receives publicity via the MRC forum 24/7 365 days a year.

When l was approached about this l did say to Lisa that the connection with TDI could even be detrimental to my own business interests with ShyAuto as we sell just about everything that TDI sells but took the decision that it would be good for the clubs members  and therefore should be added despite realising a connection with TDI could actually harm my company\'s sales and indeed this happened potentially almost immediately with someone asking for an exhaust for their Honda.

Whilst we welcome and need Vendors to assist MRC (the forum alone costs something around £1500 a year to operate) everyone needs to remember that MRC is a club that exists for it\'s members first and foremost and not it\'s Vendors.

Another criticism l have received is the statement l made preferring Hub Dyno\'s, so l would like to say that l should have not added that statement and apologise for any upset caused as this was only my own opinion about my own personal preferences and experiences using the two types of system and so l should not have included the remark.

I now look forward to hearing our members views (fully paid up ones only please)on the above, after all its your Club not mine or its Vendors.
