I have at last got behind the wheel of an Fd! All i can say is wow wot at car!.
The noise is amazing..the rotor whurr, the turbo and the exhaust all shouting at you as you put your foot down is something else.
I tested two yesterday. Both 94 cars one with 48k on the clock (is this a bit high?) and the other was a single turbo (how fast!! ) with 38k miles on the clock.
Both cars looked mint and started (with a battary boost) from cold even they had been sitting for ages.
I can now see wot the fuss is about :D
My mate is a convert now as well as he is now trying to raise the funds for one.
Does any one think 48k miles it too much with out a rebuild ? How much should i pay for this car?
Many thanks (again)
A very happy Iain

Iain,

you might have to post more info about the cars in question before a price can be judged as so far not much to go on buddy??? ie what mods and so forth ;)

ok soz:o
The black 1 i was interested in was a 94 type r.
48k miles on the motor no rebuild as far as i know. Enkai (sp??) 17"rims.
The engine was stock apart from exhaust and air filter. Not sure if it was lowered but it looked lower than some of the others.
No dents or marks on the car vvv clean and it was black.
Had a minidisk player too.
Cant really think of any thing else

With no evidence of a rebuild i wouldnt go over £6000, around 50,000 miles is the usual time for a rebuild, and a good one (rebuild)will cost you at least £2500 + their are alot of good rex\'s around for £10,000 with serious rebuilds/mods already done to them.
