Brand and grade would be helpful.

RX7 FD - Castrol GTX 10W40 mineral

Castol will be the main choice of people, as the rotary engine is VERY fussy about what it drinks.

The other choice is Royal Purple.

I use Castrol GTX.

Valvoline racing mineral oil, used to get it for £10 per 5 litres but the price has nearly doubled in the last year :reallymad

At the mo 10w60 fully synthetic. I am stripping and rebuilding the engine in April next year. I will post what effect the oil has had on the oil seals.

I\'m using the shell helix 10-40w semi synth.. doesn\'t seem to burn as much with that stuff. I\'d love it if someone got some of that it\'s not heap

The Best place to get Shell oil is your local ATS center, there\'ll change it for you and your filter, for less than you could buy the oil yourself. Also as added bonus u get a free 1l top up, now thats what i call good value.
