Which would be better V-mount or Straight?

I helped put a Rotary Extreme Monster V-Mount in Robertios FD. From personal experience I can say that this V-Mount is excellent for Fast Road and track work. The water temps remain respectable as well as the air temps when on the move. However when sitting in traffic the IC core will tend to heat soak from the radiator. Nothing too critical for pootling around on public roads ... but once you get moving again at a decent speed the air temps will drop quite quickly. (there is also an electric water pump on this car so I talking relative temps)

I run a Greddy 3 row front mount and Koyo rad in my FD and will see slightly higher than normal water temps will pootling in traffic... they will come down when I get moving again.... but nearly as fast or as low as the V-mount.

V mount is best, no arguement. However on a dedicated drag car I would go Frt mount or charge cooler.
Years ago I actually got on really, really well with a properly ducted Greddy SMIC. Remember that Jaydee?
