That\'s not coming back though, as the FIA are sticking with the "only x amount of engines allowed per season", so they have to be reliable.
1400 bhp will never return to F1 sadly :(

The immense horsepower was possible because they were running insane boost levels, these were possible due to the freaky fuels they were running.  Toluene based stuff with all sorts of other additives to make is resistant to detonation.

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!

Even though they are keeping this amount of engines per season rule, the turbo motors should be interesting, running along side the Kees they are going to be having, and hopefully adjustable boost from the drivers steering wheel. Could we even see the use of water injection in the turbo engines to give them the reliability and the power?

I have read that the weights of the cars will be going up so a bit if extra water shouldn\'t make much difference

BlitzBoy

Lots of tricky funky stuff they can do with the turbo engines, not all the turbo engines will have the same power and torque curves ;)

What does everyone think to the reintroduction of Kers in this next season of f1? Seen as mcclaren were the only ones that really had a good system from what I can remember? BMw\'s flywheel Kers never really worked but was by far the simplest and largest extra power producer?

Brett

Williams has spent an awful lot of time and money working on KERS over the last 4 years... I expect them to have something pretty tidy in that regard... :Giggle

Generally KERS will be a good thing - especially if some of the bigger teams are prepared to sell the tech to the smaller outfits...
