Quote from: freestylechazHi Nick...love the interior...shame about the front bumper :S still that can be changed...although you smoothed it didnt you?

Well I\'m fairly sure I want a later one, my rex is standard except for the back box, its a type X in very good condition, rebuild 6k ago by rotechnics, and only 59k miles overall, only some slight paint fade (red cars!:reallymad ) I\'m hoping its worth around £5500!?

How much you talking for your 99spec?

I just missed out on the blue one which was on here for £10K :(

HOW YOU GETTING ON WITH YOUR RX??
lost your e-mail:spank :spank

I very nearly bought a 2001 Rex with only 10k on the clock here in Worcester! I so so so wanted it but my money had to go else-where in the end [an opportunity like that may never come up again?]. I wonder if the owner ever sold it - it did look amazing in the pics.

how many 99 or newer models are there in uk.? anyone got a rough figure
if i had 8 hour to cut down a tree. i`d spend 6 sharpening the axe

Quote from: KevinThere is no model report for the rx7. Importing and registering one that is less than 10 years old is impossible. If you want a 99~ you\'d be better looking at ones already in the UK.

The performance is uprated \'mainly\' due to different spec turbo\'s. All depends on what you want?

If you want a shed load of power then stick with your 93, less hassle with emissions on MOT as your not required to have a cat.

Its not impossible to bring in a car with no model report its just expensive 2-2.5k I think. So with the cost of the car in Japan probably still being quite high and factoring in shipping etc its probably just not worth it.

Kevin

If you want to be pedantic on the matter then yes you can create a model report for any car.  But try again on the 2-2.5K mark..... try much more.  Then that report would only be specific to that car, i.e. any modifications that the car had, even down to the make of tyres.  So you couldnt sell the model report as anyone who bought it would have to have a vehicle to exactly the same specification as the one created.

Depending on the amount of modifications etc on the car you could be looking at doubling the price of the cost of the car.... therefore as you said just not worth it.... hence why no person/importer/company has done it.

No wasnt being funny. You dont need to create a model report you just need to pay for idependent testing to be done. People have been using it to bring in R34\'s. I was a little over on the cost as well, its less than 2k.
