Since it christmas and i have a few days of quiet on my hands i want to sort out the inside of the car. I\'ve had a good search for pictures through the other threads and can\'t really decide on the colour. The first panel has been smoothed, had two coats of clear plastic primer and three coats of white primer. All smoothed between each layer, so its quite nice :) . God its going to be a long job !

The car is an artic white 3rd gen with the standard wheels respreyed white. I am thinking white, but not completely sure. Has anybody got any pictures of a white respreyed interior ? Would be alot of help. Looking at getting the gear gater and storage box recovered in red leather to stand from the white.

Not really sure if white would be the best colour though, im considering something like red or something else, but would it work in a white car ?

Cheers

Don\'t go white for dash panels, especially not with a white car. A darker colour would look better and be easier to keep looking clean and fresh. Either a blue with matching blue leather handbrake and gear lever gaiters (I know someone who makes them in whatever colour leather you want and I know they\'re good quality as he\'s done some for my Skylines). Or how about one of those flip paints? Something like a blue to purple with plenty of clearcoat over the top would look the dogs bollocks especially if you went for a closely matching dark leather colour.

Hi man, just thought you might like some pictures of a red/cream interior (not quite finished yet but beginning to look pretyy smart.

Its odd. I was in halfrauds today looking at the paints and trying to think of what colour i should go for. God is it a hard decision ! I have to admit i like the cream and red, but i\'m not completely sure about the red with a standard interior.

After looking in halfrauds i thought about getting it done in a blue / silver flip. I think that it would need to be done by a proffessional sprayer ! Way too hard for me to do it !

Shaun, you don\'t need to be a professional sprayer - just be patient, prep the surface properly, spray LIGHT coats and dry properly between coats (use a hair dryer to speed it up). Leave overnight and apply clearcoat the following day.

Cheers. I don\'t think i\'m too bad if its a single colour, the first panel i\'ve done up to now has been more alot of very light coats so that i dont overspray and get runs. Im more bothered with the special paints that it needs to be much more even coverage to get a uniform colour. Plus im not sure if they come in an aresol can ! Back to halfrauds for a chat about their special paints :)

Well i\'ve just got back from halfrauds and wished i didn\'t bother. I probably got the same responce if i\'d asked for the oil filter for the apollo lunar buggy ! Maybe it was the word flip that threw him, or maybe that they sold speciality paint, who knows ???? He was more interested in what colour my car was, lol !

So its time to look for a company that may know what im wanting !!!
