Does anyone know anyting about Thor Racing in Coventry??
It says that they map power fc\'s but can I trust them to map an rx7???

scooby_si

they are top dynoers of a hub nature as i understand it & i wana have a play on their machine but wood i use them to map a power FC wood i fook the rotary is a very different beast so if i\'m paying to remap it it\'s going to a rotary expert!!!!! no offense ment to thor by that comment but well..........

Im sure they are very good on the dyno, and with a pfc, but on face value, I would not use them, as I dont know how true to their word they are. Last year I spoke to Peter the md and he promised to attend Rotorstock with his Dyno, and put £250 prise money for sponcorship and cup. There may be curcumstances why, but he did not turn up, pffer the money, buy a cup, or even have the decency to phone.

Chap at work has used Thor several times to map his 520bhp S12 Silvia and he is happy with their work, but don\'t think they have much rotary experience.

As Si said tuning Rotary\'s IS specialised as they do not respond to tuning the same way as a boinger, l know one of the guys here had some real worrys about some boost spiking after having a car mapped by them and give Thor their due the guy was immediately refunded his money, bit scary that one !.

When people like Abbeys say they are keen to learn more about mapping Rotary\'s even after they have had a lot of cars on their Dyno pack it makes you realise mapping a Rotary is specialised.

As i live in Northampton and had been given Thor\'s number, i gave them a call to map a PFC and dyno figures on me FD single turbo.....
Chap i spoke to was helpfull and had a long chat with him but, he was\'nt happy in dealing with rotary\'s until they had someone in the shop who new what to look out for on the rollers.

As i say, helpfull and honest, just not for them at the mo, cant say more than that.

Gotta give em credit for that, although l suspect this is after they had problems with a Rotary .

Have been to Thor for a dyno day thingy, they are cool guys but as mentioned dont really know much about the rotary engine, their demo car is a Supra and they have a hell of a dyno set up but otherwise go to a ROTARY specialist dude;)

i\'ve used thier dyno.. cool setup but personally I didn\'t think they knew a lot about the 7... I would use someone like Reworx rather than them...think thor are more supra / skyline etc based
