Good idea! That renders obsolete something like 4 camshafts with gears and belts, 48 valves with guides and springs, 12 cylinders, pistons and piston rods, 36 piston rings, 6 plugs and cables, and a foot of crankshaft, not to forget the meat that comes with it. Should save a few grammes! 🤔

This very nice, French coffee table book came out back in 2006. Never heard of it before, but a copy suddenly popped up for sale online. Got a good chapter on Mazdas, which amongst other things includes driving impressions of the R100 by Jean-Pierre Beltoise (from a 1970 car review)! I would be using this book to revive my school French if I'd had any at school. Did do some self-teaching in the 90s, though, so there's hopefully something to revive anyway. Ventrebleu, quelle libre!
