The plan this year is to have a Rotary Community stand for at this ever-popular event, co-located with the RX-8 OC to make a bigger rotary display for the public to admire. Overall, we are hoping to get 50+ cars across the combined stands.

The show features gripping non-stop track action, awesome paddock displays,  show & shine competitions,  top 25 parade laps, thrilling drifting demos, public track time, and a bustling trade village.The RX-8 OC plan to have a couple of gazebos on their stand and from around 7:30am they'll be providing bacon/sausage rolls plus, throughout the day: cakes, tea, coffee, cold drinks and snacks. Most cakes & scones are provided by fellow members. This is free to RX-8 OC members. Non-members are most welcome to avail themselves of the refreshments available, but will be asked for a donation of £5 to the RX-8 OC. I have the facility to take card payments, so no cash needed!

This circuit is independently run, has been very good to car clubs for many years and deserves our support to keep running.If you have not been to this event before, then you are missing out on a great show. This short official video from the 2022 event gives you some idea of what to expect.

• Entitlement to take your car out on track in any of the 15 minute public track sessions (at extra cost)

YOU WIILL NEED THE CLUB BOOKING CODE. This will be PM'd out to those posting up an interest in this topic.

Tickets cost £25 and permit one car, driver and up to three additional adults in the car. Those under 16 are admitted free with an accompanying adult.

NOTE: There are a limited number of "Early Bird Club Passes" available at £20 (a £5 discount). Be quick to secure one of these!!

Ensure you select "Rotary Community UK" from the pull-down "CLUB DETAILS" list and enter the club code, which will be PM'd to you, once you post up interest in this topic.

EXCLUSIVE TRACK SESSION

There will be a 15 minute RX-8 OC Exclusive Track Session at 10.45am, price £35 for RX-8 OC Members or £40 for non-members. RX-8 OC members will get first shout on the limited (25) places, but if an MRC member is wanting to go out on track, then post up in here. If you have not driven a session at JDM Combe before, this "driver's view" video below will give you some idea of what it is like. Click on the "gearwheel", bottom right of video, and select "Quality - HD" for the best view.

A full briefing on how to drive on track will be given to all participants on the day (nothing complicated!). It may be possible to arrange for an experienced track driver to sit in as a passenger, if requested. A helmet is required, but these can be hired on the day for a nominal fee - sometimes members also have spare helmets they can loan FOC.

Apologies for that confusion Dave. I have corrected the first post now.

Initially the plan (when I posted in here) was to just have the usual one code and one stand. Subsequently, it was decided to have two co-located stands this year, requiring two codes, one for the RX-8 OC and the other for all other clubs and individuals who wished to display their rotary. I forgot to update the first post to reflect the change of plan.
